Arsene Wenger went all-out to land this teenage prodigy in the January transfer window of 2006. The pacey winger joined from Southampton where he had showed glimpses of his undoubted talent.
Walcott did not play for Arsenal first team that season, and yet Sven Goran Eriksson decided to include him in the England squad for the World Cup 2006. Theo became England's youngest ever player at just 17 years old, appearing in the pre-tournament matches, however he did not play any part in the actual World Cup.
It remains to be seen what role Wenger has for him in the Gunners first team. A future replacement to Thierry Henry perhaps...
